Orange Pomegranate Mocktail

As soon as my friends read this, I’m expecting a good amount of calls, text messages and Facebook Wall posts, all asking the same question….

You made a drink without booze?

Yes, friends – I’m not sure if it’s because I’m maturing, or because I’m getting cheaper by the day – but last week, after a humid, busy day at work, all I wanted was a refreshing beverage and Bravo television. And since I had zero booze in my apartment, I decided to be responsible (by default) and make my first mocktail.

A very simple mocktail, might I add. Three parts POM Wonderful juice, one part orange juice (no pulp) and a handful of frozen blueberries (a.k.a. the “rocks”).

Delicious, refreshing, satisfying and crazy simple. I didn’t even miss the booze.

Is that my phone?

What’s your favorite non-alcoholic beverage to drink in the summertime?

  1. craziness! no really, this looks good. I like to drink sweet tea vodka and lemonade, it doesn't even taste like booze so that counts. ;)

  2. I love a good summer mocktail - nothing is worse than a hangover on a super hot muggy morning. I've been drinking a lot of pineapple juice with a splash of cran and sparkling water. Ordered it at a bar in Austin, TX and the bartender ended up making them for most of the rest of the bar!

  7. I'm loving this idea of a mocktail! Sometimes all I want to do is sit down with a giant glass of chocolate milk watching a marathon on Bravo, too... ;)
