Giving Thanks

I'm in a thankful mood today.

I'm thankful that it's Friday (which also means it's Bagel Friday at Eversave, which I'm also thankful for).

I'm thankful that Z and I made an offer on a house, and it was accepted.

I'm thankful for the blue skies we have here in Boston (er, Wakefield) today.

I'm thankful the tequila I drank last night, in honor of Cinco de Mayo, is not ruining my day today.

And finally, I'm thankful for my Mom. Sunday is Mother's Day after all, and the woman who gave me life deserves a little recognition. My mother has raised four kids, has always worked, and has always made sure we sat down to a nice dinner as a family on a nightly basis. My Mom rocks.

My Mom with my niece, Aubrey.

For Mother's Day, my siblings and I are going to my parents' house tomorrow for a cookout, and then making my Mom brunch on Sunday. I can't wait to spend some quality time with family - and eating all of the food won't hurt, either.

What are you doing for your Mom on Mother's Day? Or, if you are a Mom, how are you celebrating?

Have a great weekend!

Is your new house in Wakefield? My husband's family is from there! His dad was the fire chief for years. :-)
